Wow, I can’t believe our Bunny Box sold out this month! I’m so grateful for your support and thrilled that these adorable bunnies have all found a home. This month, I’ll be sharing how to melt your wax sticks using a sealing wax spoon instead of a wax gun — no need to cut them into pieces! It’s the easiest and quickest way, especially when you want to test out different colours.
Materials
- Bunny stamp
- Sealing wax sticks
- Wax seal stove + spoon set
- Large spoon (optional)
- Silicone scraper (optional - coming soon!)
Step 1 | MELTING WAX STICKS
Choose the colours you’d like to melt. If your spoon isn’t large enough, you can melt each stick one at a time. I prefer melting them all at once to keep the consistency even across all the colours.
Step 2 | TO MIX OR NOT TO MIX
For these colours, I chose not to mix them in the spoon to avoid ending up with a muddy mix. If you want a marbled effect, gently swirl your spoon while pouring — this blends the colours without fully mixing them together.
Step 3 | STAMP & PEEL
As always, stamp firmly for the perfect impression. Allow the wax seal to cool before peeling it off. Since this stamp has an irregular shape, be mindful that some edges may catch and break more easily.
Step 4 | NO WAX WASTED
Our silicone scrapers (coming soon to the shop!) are perfect for getting every last bit of wax out of your spoon, even from the smallest crevices.
Step 5 | EMBELLISH (OPTIONAL)
To give your bunny seals an extra special touch, use a paint pen to highlight the design and outer rim. This simple step transforms the look of your wax seal completely!
