Learn how to add embellishments to your wax seals - two ways. We will be testing with our vellum sealing wax and crystal clear glue sticks.
Materials
- Floral heart wax stamp
- Crystal clear glue sticks
- Floral paper embellishments
- Embellishment set (optional)
Step 1 | Embellishment-first placement (Option 1)
Place your embellishments directly on your stationery or silicone mat. Pour the wax over them and then press your stamp into the wax.
TIP: This is best for showing off all the details in your stamp, as the embellishment stays underneath.
Step 1 | Embellishment-second placement (Option 2)
Dispense your wax, then quickly add the embellishments,and stamp.
TIP: This keeps the embellishments more visible, though some stamp details may be hidden.
Step 2 | Decorating
- While the wax is still warm, gently press embellishments onto the edges.
- If the wax has cooled, use a touch of hot glue to secure embellishments.
- Use a paint pen to trace over the stamped design and bring out the finer details.
Step 3 | Highlighting the details
Finally, pair your seal with neutral-toned envelopes or gift wrap to let it shine. Sometimes less is more!
